The ARA is the peak body for the rail sector in Australia and New Zealand. Metro is one of its almost 200 members across the industry and this strategic partnership helps drives our commons goals. Rail Industry Safety Standards Board (RISSB)

RISSB supports and works hand in hand with the Australian and New Zealand rail industry to provide the essential tools rail organisations need – good practice Standards, Codes of Practice, Guidelines and Rules. RISSB is the only accredited Standards development organisation for the rail industry in Australia and has a vast catalogue of more than 200 publications, all of which help industry improve safety, reduce costs and increase productivity and efficiency. Barrbunin Beek

 

Barrbunin Beek is a place for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait people and families to meet, engage, grow connection, and build community.

We’re proud to partner with Barrbunin Beek to enhance its ability to deliver programs that meet the First Nations community’s needs, particularly for women and children. Over 12 months, Metro will support Barrbunin Beek to implement a ‘Stronger Tiddas and Boorais’, which means women and children.

Located in Olympic Park, West Heidelberg, Barrbunin Beek means ‘happy place’ in the Woiwurrung language.

The partnership offers an opportunity to show Metro’s commitment to Reconciliation and support self-determination of Victoria’s First Nation’s communities.
