Metro officially onboard for Melbourne Storm 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Metro Trains is onboard with Melbourne Storm as an official partner for the 2024 and 2025 NRL seasons and to celebrate, a special interactive digital photo booth has been opened at iconic Flinders Street Station.
Storm stars Tyran Wishart and Josh King were the first to use the booth today ahead of this week’s round fourteen clash with the Newcastle Knights at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon.
For the next three months, Metro Trains passengers will be able to take virtual snaps with their favourite Storm players as a keepsake of the 2024 season.
Metro’s CEO Raymond O’Flaherty says, “We’re thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Melbourne Storm until the end of the 2025 season and encouraging their loyal fans to leave the car at home and catch the train to the game.
“With more services than ever before, it’s the easiest, safest and most enjoyable option to make sure you don’t miss any of the action.”
Metro and the Storm have partnered since 2022 to encourage more people to leave the car at home and catch the train to NRL games at AAMI Park – a short walk from Richmond Station.
Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski says, “There is no better partnership to help Storm members and fans get to AAMI Park than our partnership with Metro.”
“We are excited to see this partnership grow over the last two years to now include support for our local rugby league clubs through Storm in Your Club, a program that will help us to grow the game across Victoria.”
This year, Metro Trains will be the Game Day Presenting Partner for the Community Round on Sunday 9 June, and will also team up with the ‘Storm in your Club’ junior engagement program at 18 junior local rugby league clubs in Victoria.
Metro Trains and Melbourne Storm have a heap of exciting activities, prizes and giveaways in store for fans this year – especially existing Metro passengers – including a number of money can’t buy experiences for fans taking the train to Richmond Station, Olympic Boulevard exit, this Sunday.
